About Verity
Verity Kelsey is an Osteopath and the founder of Oaks and Folks Osteopathy.
Verity trained at the University College of Osteopathy, obtaining a master's degree with distinction. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and the Institute of Osteopathy, and has fully-comprehensive insurance for all the services she offers. Prior to her osteopathy training, Verity earned an Undergraduate Certificate in Health Studies after completing two years of Adult Nursing at King's College London.
Verity's journey to osteopathy began through personal experience—suffering sports injuries in hockey and rugby, followed by a back injury during her adult nursing training. Experiencing osteopathic treatment first hand led to her recovery and sparked her interest in rehabilitation which led her to changing degrees to study Osteopathy. This experience influenced her approach to patient care, where she considers all aspects of health affecting individuals and roots her practice in narrative medicine—believing that understanding individuals' stories is crucial to working as a team to support patients' health and wellbeing goals and values.
She creates a safe and nurturing environment where patients' experiences are validated and their voices are heard. Her evidence-based practice combines hands-on techniques with targeted exercise rehabilitation to help patients recover and build resilience. Through empathy and authentic connection, she engages patients as active participants in their healing journey, creating personalized treatment plans that align with their goals - from returning to sports, chronic condition management or improving overall wellbeing.
When not practicing, Verity can be found exploring local trails, strength training, reading or baking treats for family and friends.
